Poof is a background removal API for images and video. Send an image or video in one API call and get back a clean cutout with hair-level precision, up to 6K resolution, in under 2 seconds per image. Video works with MP4, MOV, WebM and animated GIF, with output as transparent WebM, ProRes 4444, GIF or green screen MP4. Use the REST API, the Python and TypeScript SDKs, the MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, or no-code connectors for n8n, Zapier and Make. Pricing starts at $0.002 per image and $0.45 per video minute, and the Free plan includes 100 credits a month with no credit card.
