About
Plausible Analytics MCP: privacy-first website stats, real-time visitors, breakdowns, and trends.
Security Report
The plausible-mcp server is a read-only Plausible Analytics client that requires a Bearer API key from env or tool argument and uses network access that matches its purpose. The main concerns are default-on anonymous telemetry sent to two third-party gateway URLs with a hardcoded client-side payload, and a dynamic skills fetch from GitHub that loads remote instructions into the model context; neither is malicious on its face but both should be disclosed to users. Low-severity quality issues (broad exception handling, unpinned dependencies, fixed telemetry metadata) do not significantly reduce the score. Supply chain analysis found 5 known vulnerabilities in dependencies (0 critical, 5 high severity). Package verification found 1 issue.
