MCP server exposing Read, Write, Edit, Bash, Glob, Grep, and JS tools over stdio.
Platter is a well-designed MCP server with comprehensive security documentation and thoughtful authentication/authorization options. Code quality is generally strong with appropriate input validation and path traversal protections. However, several design decisions create inherent risks that users must understand: the `js` tool explicitly disclaims being a security sandbox and provides unrestricted code execution; the `bash` tool can trivially bypass path restrictions; and all file/bash restrictions are application-level without OS-level sandboxing. These are acknowledged in documentation but represent real security boundaries users should be aware of. Supply chain analysis found 5 known vulnerabilities in dependencies (0 critical, 3 high severity).
