Security Report

4.8
Use Caution4.8High Risk

Pinpoint is a localhost bridge that receives developer annotations from a browser extension and exposes them to coding agents over MCP. It has solid protections: loopback-only Host checks, refusal of web-page origins, a token required for extension origins, and a restricted CORS policy. The main concerns are that origin-less local requests can read and modify annotations without the token, and that annotation content flows into agent prompts, which is a prompt-injection surface; the supporting modules (store.js, ios.js, android.js) were not provided, so token storage and the picker's process calls could not be fully verified. Supply chain analysis found 5 known vulnerabilities in dependencies (0 critical, 3 high severity). Package verification found 1 issue.
