This MCP server contains multiple critical security vulnerabilities that significantly compromise its safety. The most severe issue is unauthenticated network calls to an external metering service (proofof.ai) with user API keys embedded in requests, creating credential exfiltration and MITM attack risks. Additionally, the authentication system is severely flawed: rate limiting uses easily-guessable SHA256 hashes of API keys as identifiers, the `check_access` function is called but its return value is incorrectly unpacked as a dict in some tools, and authentication is ultimately bypassable due to these implementation errors. The server also stores user data (documents, entities, edges) in plaintext SQLite databases without encryption. While the code quality is reasonable for an AI/ML server with appropriate permissions, these authentication and data handling flaws create serious production risks. Supply chain analysis found 5 known vulnerabilities in dependencies (0 critical, 5 high severity). Package verification found 1 issue.
