Climate & disaster risk for any place: warnings, floods, heat, storms, quakes, countries, map

About

Climate and disaster risk for any place or property: official weather warnings, flood risk, heat waves, storms and hurricanes, wildfires, earthquakes, sea level rise, 7-day weather risk and country risk for 194 countries, with an interactive map in the chat.

Ask about a city, an address or coordinates, or about countries. Twelve tools: assess_place (one answer for "is it safe there?"), get_forecast (7-day weather and extreme-weather risk), get_hazards_near (official warnings from the US NWS and MeteoAlarm across Europe, USGS earthquakes, tsunami bulletins, hurricanes with the NHC cone and track, wildfires, floods, volcanoes, droughts, air quality nearby now), list_hazards (every warning and disaster in force in a country, a region or the world), get_climate_profile (flood depth, sea level rise, extreme heat, drought, water stress, warming to 2050 and 2080), get_country_profile, compare_countries and rank_countries (194 countries, ~160 indicators), show_risk_map (interactive map with warning areas and storm cones, in Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP Apps hosts), find_place, search and fetch (citable documents for ChatGPT deep research).

Who it's for: travellers and travel planners, people choosing where to live, real estate and site due diligence, ESG, insurance and investment research, humanitarian and disaster monitoring.

Every answer cites its source: INFORM Risk Index, ND-GAIN, World Bank, CMIP6, ERA5, IPCC AR6 sea level, WRI Aqueduct, GloFAS, GDACS, NASA FIRMS, OpenAQ and the ECCC GDPS weather model. Free, read-only, no API key.

Security Report

8.2
Low Risk8.2Low Risk

The Criora README describes a hosted, read-only, no-auth climate and disaster risk MCP server whose tools (forecasts, hazards, climate layers, country indicators) match its stated Data & Analytics purpose. The only repository content is documentation and metadata, so no executable code was available to audit, and the README discloses that arguments and request metadata are sent to criora.com and logged for up to 30 days. Scoring is limited by the absence of source code and the unauthenticated, remote nature of the service rather than by any identified vulnerability.

Version History

v1.3.1Oct 15, 2026Re-scanned

1.3.1: The chat map is redesigned to the host's own look, in the card and full screen, with a timeline of the week under the field switch (risk hour by hour with each day's main hazard, or the temperature, wind or rain at the place). Clearer hazard icons, Very low in the risk key, a lighter risk wash so the land shows, a retried forecast read after a failure, and a map that keeps drawing when a host reports the card off screen. The server description now names the interactive map. Tools are unchanged.

v1.3.0Oct 15, 2026Re-scanned

1.3.0: new show_risk_map tool, an interactive map of a place in the chat (MCP App): forecast risk, or the rain, temperature or wind forecast, under nearby hazard events.
